BIP Works

Practice, research and possibility.

From youth-led programmes to landmark research on Belfast’s interfaces, BIP’s work brings community knowledge, evidence and practical peacebuilding together.

Current projects

Building shared futures in the present.

BIP’s current programmes work with young people across interface communities, combining dialogue, creative practice and new ways of imagining divided space.

01 / Youth, identity and relationships

Sense Over
Sectarianism.

A programme for 14 to 18 year olds living close to Belfast’s interfaces.

Young people from Protestant and Unionist and Catholic and Nationalist backgrounds come together to explore sectarianism, identity, belonging and the issues shaping everyday life. Creative workshops and shared experiences create space to question inherited divisions and imagine positive change.

02 / Reimagining divided space

Shared
Futures.

Using augmented reality to help young people redesign Belfast’s physical and social landscape.

Peace walls, gates, derelict land and other divided spaces become starting points for imagining a different city. Through workshops, field visits and augmented reality design sessions, participants explore how places could become safer, more connected and more shared.
